Atypical & Awesome, “Sweet Tea and Oz”

Saturday was HOT but we ventured out to the Enterprise Farmer’s Market where I picked up some local produce (beans, new potatoes, and homemade hot sauce). Afterwards, it was off to the Sweet Tea Festival. I do not handle heat (dysautonomia and heart issues) so I stayed inside the Civic Center until it was time for Crews to perform. He did great as always but we skidaddled as soon as he was done.

We got ice cream on the way home and came home to cool off. Then, we headed to Geneva to see my parents as they wanted to show off some recent renovations they have made on the house. Then house looks amazing and I am glad my parents have been able to get these things done. Afterwards, we went out for Mexican food at the same restaurant Phillip and I had our first date 11 years ago. Time flies.

Sunday, I travelled to Montgomery and picked up Alex (and hugged Salem) and ventured to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival to see, “The Wizard of Oz”. It was simply fabulous. Everything. The sets, effects, music, dance, acting- superb. I picked up a few momentos and came home with a song in my heart and inspiration to work on that musical I’ve been chewing on.

Speaking of chewing, I stopped by Sweet Creek Farm Market for some Chilton County peaches and they are delish. I have been packing them in my lunch this week and they are so good.

Last night, I worked a little on a new idea I have on a second musical. Yep, you read that right. My brain never stops creating and thinking and contemplating. Something good is in there and I am determined to birth it. Right now, I am incubating. As always, I appreciate your encouragement snd support. Have a wonderful week.
