Atypical & Awesome, “Royalties and Lore”

Yesterday was a 4 am until 8 pm work day full of driving and attending an all-day workshop. I got stuck in traffic en route so a trip that should have taken 4 hours took 5. 1/2- it was one if those days! But I was able to wear my new skirt and sandals and had lunch out with one of my colleagues And…. i got to listen to a lot of music in the car- lol!

I received my quarterly BMI payment so I spent some time looking over my royalties statement. I received a surprising amount of international payments this quarter. One of my children’s songs is being played on the radio in Ireland, one of my soft rock songs was on tv in Croatia, and four of my soft rock songs received plays of some sort (it was not specified) in Hong Kong so I received payment from CASH. I also still get love from SOCAN. It’s encouraging to see my songs getting played across the world :)

I also received fun news that I have been cast as a guide/“resident” in Landmark Park’s upcoming “Legends and Lore” Halloween event. It’s gonna be spooky but not gory and I am excited to be part. I auditioned last week so my heart is happy to be cast. Or should I say, my spirits are high?

As usual, it’s another busy day but we have a much needed “chill” weekend ahead. Phillip is excited because football is starting back. Pray for me- lol
