Atypical & Awesome, “So Much to Say”

Today’s blog is one of those that could go in one hundred different ways because I have so much to say. We have just returned from a mini-vacation to Atlanta where we had lots of adventures. The World of Coke, the Georgia Aquarium, Zoo Atlanta, The Center for Puppetry Arts, and the College Football Hall of Fame all deserve their own blogs. I may dive into those throughout the week- but to summarize- we had a blast.

We made it back in time to catch Crews Wright at the Dothan Opera House. His vocal skills and stage presence has grown so much over the past year- to say I am proud and excited for him is a vast understatement. Also, Ashton Moore and Calvin Gann lit the bluegrass bug in me and I cannot wait to write more bluegrass soon.

The cherry on top was, of course hearing “Big Deal” performed live at the Dothan Opera House. It was a sellout 600 seat capacity and the venue and acoustics are gorgeous. I needed that for my heart in ways only few will understand. It makes me want to write ALL the time.

I have an audition later today, a coffee meet-up with some “misfits”, and C&P Comedy has an open-mic tomorrow night at Rumors in Level Plains (hosted by Mr.Spud). Phillip and I both return to our day gig tomorrow so it will be a wild week!

Finally, Happy 25th birthday to our Alex. You make me smile and we are all so proud of you! I cannot believe my baby js all grown up. Where are the tissues?
