Atypical & Awesome, “Simply Magical- Part 3”

We did the thing. We rang in the New Year watching the ball drop (side view, but still) on times Square in New York. I still can’t believe it happened but it did. Confetti, kisses, and lots of selfies in the streets- it was surreal.

Yesterday was New Year’s Day and after a slow start and leisurely breakfast, the girls and I started “Girls Day in the City”. Phillip had a full day of football watching so we left him in peace to have the tv to himself. The girls and I braved the bitter cold for a visit to Bryant Park. I purchased “the best” hot chocolate from Cocoa Cabin and the girls found coffees. We pursued a few shops and ate from trendy food vendors at the park. There was still snow on the ground from the early morning hours so it was idyllic.

We then hit 5th Avenue for shopping. This is always the highlight of the trip for Reagan. I even scored a new, hip jacket aa an early birthday gift to myself so it was a lucrative trip. We then headed to Radio City Music Hall to see the Rockettes which was spectacular! It really exceeded all expectations. We ended our evening with a big, final family dinner at the Carnegie Diner complete with New York cheesecake. I hugged Autumn by and today we leave for our journey home.

It has been a magical two weeks filled with lots of bucket lists checks and sweet family time. I am looking forward to kissing Sapphire soon, though and sleeping in our own bed! It has been simply everything. Thank you God for these opportunities and thank You readers for joining us!
