Atypical & Awesome, “Back to the Grind and Changes”

Yesterday was “back to reality” as Phillip and I returned to our day gigs after a wonderful Christmas and trip to New York. We are getting back into the groove and spent the weekend prepping the house for my upcoming surgery. We are focusing on home and hearth and spending lots of “sitting time” with Sapphire. She definitely missed us while we were gone.

I did receive some encouraging music news this week. A sweet little love song I cowrote a few years ago is being released by one of my cowriter/artist friends next month. It should be released in time for Valentine’s Day so that makes my heart happy ;) I am also going to assist another cowriter/artist friend select his songs for his upcoming project so that is fun. I could certainly use the distraction right now.

Also, I have to send out big high fives to my cowriters/friends who will be performing at the Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo this year. Otha Allen will be opening for Neal McCoy on Friday night and Crews Wright will be opening for Trace Adkins on Saturday night. Good things happening for great artists and I am thrilled for them.

There will soon be changes to this website as I introduce a brand new forum- will it be another blog, a podcast, a vlog??? Stay tuned- I have lots to tell!
