Atypical & Awesome, “New Space and New(ish) Things”

It’s BMI Royalty disbursement day. It is always a mixed bag of being thrilled that I get some songwriter royalties and frustration and irritation at how little writers are paid from streaming services. Tomorrow, the royalty statement will be available so I will be able to see what songs received what plays for the reporting quarter. It’s always cool to see what different countries have played songs I’ve been a part of- that always makes me smile.

Phillip cleaned out the boys’ old bedroom and turned it into a practice/writing space for me. It is a converted garage so it is perfect. I’ve been working on a couple of songs I plan to show off at an open-mic Friday night. I’m ready to get back out there.”

I ordered a new mic stand and two mics and they arrived yesterday. I was able to get the stand together but the mics are a little confusing. I have a project for Phillip when he gets home tonight. I utilized the stand last night to go live on tik tok for about a half hour. It’s on my page- check it out if you are so inclined. As always, thank you for your support- hugs:)
