Atypical & Awesome, “Laugh and the World Laughs With You”
We had a wonderful long holiday weekend. Saturday was football all day (Roll Tide) and then Saturday night we travelled to Pensacola to see Leanne Morgan. The Pensacola Bay Civic Center was packed with women in my demographic with a few men sprinkled in. Leanne definitely knows her target audience. She was fabulous. I am so inspired by her- she is 59 and at the top of her game. Plus, it is a reminder that “folks our age” still want to get out and do things-we have money to spend and don’t mind paying as long as the show is early and the seats are comfortable. We are also gonna need intermission for a bathroom break and to stretch our legs. Otherwise, we’re ready to party.
Sunday, Phillip and I got a wild hair and found an open-mic in Panama City, Florida. It was nearly a two hour trek but since we were off Monday, we decided to give it a go. The setting was Callaway Slice House and our buddy Michael Statham hosted. We saw some familiar faces and made a couple of new contacts. This brought us to our 98th show! We are edging real close to 100!
We have a big week this week so check in later on for updates. As always, thank you for your support!
