Atypical & Awesome, “Sweat Equity”

It’s been a week of pouring in- doing the things to set up and prepare for bigger and better things. I have much to tell but for now- it must wait.

Tonight, we have our first read-through for, “A Christmas Carol”. It is a huge cast so this should be interesting! Our last production had a cast of six and this one is over forty! It will be a new experience for us so I always appreciate an opportunity to learn and grow in different settings.

Yesterday, I saw a former client who was one of my “work kids” ten years ago. She came right up to me and said, “Miss Carmen, do you remember me? You made me write a song!” Of course, I did- lol It touched my heart- I have thought of her often through the years so I am glad she is doing okay. Another example of sweat equity- putting in the work to reap the rewards later

Today, I continue to plant seeds with a little more encouragement in my heart. What we are doing matters. Invest in yourself- invest in others. Slow down, work smarter, and keep building.
