Atypical & Awesome, “Hurray for Hollywood and Animals”
So, picking up where we left off… Wednesday was Hollywood Studios day. Phillip was exceptionally excited because of all the new Star Wars stuff. While Phillip rode Rise of the Resistance, Quinn and I took some time to get a Mickey Pretzel and have a meet and greet with Jiminy Cricket. She cracked me up when she said she didn’t mind a picture with him but didn’t think getting his autograph would be right since she didn’t know who he is really. Lol!!! We are failing our kids- time to stream Pinocchio!
Phillip and Quinn waited for two hours and forty minutes to ride Slinky Dog. You read that right. I took advantage of some much needed me time and rode the Tower of Terror and sat and rested a spell with Toy Story themed Cookie Butter Latte. We also saw Fantasmic which was phenomenal! Overall it was an enjoyable and full day.
Thursday was Animal Kingdom and started off fantastic. We met Chip n Dale before we even walked through the gate including getting the cutest autographs ever and I got a smooch from Dale 💕💕 We went straight to the safari and then the Lion King show- both of which were hits with Quinn.
I was able to nab the carrot cake ice cream sundae I had seen on IG and it was good- not spectacular but good. We did get the first and only rainstorm that afternoon so we went back to the hotel. The older kids ventured back to AK when it cleared and Phillip and I took Quinn and Michael to Disney Springs for dinner which was a hit. Quinn showed off her smooth dance moves outside the House of Blues and we had yummy noms at Splitsville. It was back to the hotel for pool time and packing. We hit the road home Friday. Everyone made it home safely through land and air and we are already making plans for our next adventure.
