Atypical & Awesome, “Healing and Dealing”

Last week was a big week in many ways. Court, jury duty, cardiologist appointment, and an intense week of work combined with basic life “stuff”. We decompressed by attending a outside night concert of one of our favorite local cover bands Friday night. The weather was perfect and it was a great precursor to summer. Saturday. I stopped by our local farmer’s market to stock up on fresh produce and then Phillip and I attended an afternoon art festival. Outside concert, farmer’s market, and art festival sure sounds like summer to me!

Yesterday, I worked on music and also had some kitchen therapy. Our breakfast quiche showcased some of those farmer’s market finds as did our dinner of bacon wrapped seared pork loin with charred green beans, onions, and fresh corn on the cob. I definitely feel summer creeping in:)

It’s Reagan’s last week of school so we are in the home stretch for the year. I hope all of you are finding little things (and big) to heal your spirit and hearts, sometimes, it’s as simple as fresh corn on the con.
