Atypical & Awesome, “Grinding and Surviving”

May has kicked our tail. We are grinding, yall. I am working hard at the day gig and spinning lots of plates. I’ve been cowriting and working on new songs. We have had a lot of events and obligations and more to come to finish up May.

We had to scale back on comedy this month because we have had so much going on so that tells you something. But, we’ve also had some special times as well.

Our niece graduated college on Saturday so we spent the day in Auburn with family celebrating her. She had a lovely graduation lunch at Botanic and party at her parents’ home. Plus, I finally got to meet her boyfriend. We also took my parents to Buc-ee’s and Sweet Creek Farm Market for the first time so that was a hoot.

Sunday was Mother’s Day and our 9th Wedding Anniversary so we celebrated with a beautiful brunch at the Barrel Room. I told Phillip hydrangeas are nostalgic for me so he bought me the most beautiful bouquet of roses and hydrangeas. He also gifted me with a new keyboard to replace the one I had that was destroyed by a lightning strike. He is truly a good egg,

There is more to tell but I will save it for another time- have a beautiful day, everyone.
