Atypical & Awesome “All the Fun”

One of the coolest experiences a songwriter can have is seeing a song you have been a part of come to life on stage. Saturday, Phillip and I travelled to Wassau, FL to see Crews Wright and his band, The Crew perform at the town’s Bicentennial celebration. Crews and The Crew did a fantastic job and I was thrilled to hear them do, “Big Deal”. It was on the Possum Opry stage at the Possum Palace and we snacked on fresh pork rinds. I ask again, how country are you???? Lol

I attended several fun events this weekend. Friday, I partook in my first Japanese head spa. Boy, was that needed. It was a great way to get my head and scalp ready for summer. Saturday morning, I attended a Margaritas and Moo Moo’s event at Purple Sage Salon where a friend and author, Ashley Davis was having a book signing. I nabbed one of her latest books and a cute pair of earrings. (See below).

Sunday, we took Reagan and her boyfriend to the movies and out to eat. “Lilo and Stitch” was cute but nothing will replace the animated version in my heart. It was a huge part of my kids’ childhoods. We ended the night with Mexican food so it was a win, win.

Saturday on our way back from Wassau, we stopped for ice cream and lottery tickets. We won a whopping six dollars so I guess, we both have to return to work today.

It was a good weekend. I have much on my mind these days as I navigate “what’s next” whatever that may be. Have a fabulous week everyone!
