Atypical & Awesome, “Doing the Things”
We had a pretty good, laid-back but productive weekend. Friday night, I performed at Hoobler Open-mic. I was last so I only did two songs- “Pray for You Today” and “It’s a Small World”. Saturday, Reagan had friends over so we entertained teenagers. I also worked hard to get in my 10,000 steps. If my scale is correct, I’ve lost 8 pounds in two weeks. I’m trying to trim up for our upcoming play.
Speaking of which, we received the script yesterday and read through it. Please be sure and catch, “Sunset Surf Club” at Southern Broadway this summer June 25- August 1.
Our comedy show at the “Healing Brick Road” event has been expanded to an hour. We will be presenting, “Laughter as a Coping Skill” and plan to share lots of funnies. It will be a great event for a cause dear to my heart- connecting the community to mental health resources.
I also had several music related conversations and am thrilled to get a release date (mid June) for an upcoming cut. I also have another one coming out late fall. Cuts make me VERY happy-lol.
I’m just working and doing my thing. I am down to five months left in my supervision towards my LICSW and then I test. I am hustling, steadily doing the things and building. I am even considering going back to get my doctorate. We shall see.
