Atypical & Awesome’ “Comedy, Theatre, and our First Con”
We’ve had a busy but fun few days. Thursday night was Open-Mic Comedy at the Thirsty Pig in Dothan. It was a new venue for us and we made some new contacts. We will be performing at Mural City Coffee in Dothan this Friday. It is really nice to have some new options for clean(ish) comedy!
Saturday morning, Phillip and I participated in an acting/audition workshop sponsored by SEACT. We had a lot of fun and Phillip presented his monologue and did a great job. We are pondering our next theatrical pursuits. We are both involved in Landmark Park’s upcoming, “Legends and Lore” so stay tuned for details!
Saturday afternoon, we attended our first “con”- the Deep h Para-Comi- Con. Everyone was very welcoming and we enjoyed supporting a unique event by buying horror themed milkshakes, alien macarons, and a Big foot cookie lol
Today, we attended church and then visited my parents. Also, school has started back so Reagan is now a senior! We have another busy week so stay tuned for more updates!
