Atypical & Awesome, “A Few of My Favorite Things”

Last night, I attended a concert showcasing songs from, “The Sound of Music” at Hoobler Music in Enterprise. This performance was from the Masterworks Community Choir and they did a great job. I am always touched by the Hooblers’ commitment to providing the community with diverse music opportunities. They have definitely been good to me through the years.

The Sound of Music… My sister, Cindy was obsessed with this movie so I watched it many times aa a child. However, I rewatched it recently and it gave me chills to view it as an adult and the societal implications of what the Von Trapp family was experiencing. God, please let us learn from history.

Peace, compassion, humanity and love for each other- those are a few of my favorite things. And music. Music can be one of our saving graces and a unifier during divisive times. I leave you with a song today :
