Atypical & Awesome, “Tomatoes, Grizzlies, and Theatre”
Have you ever had a fried green tomato sandwich? I highly recommend you try one. Yesterday, we enjoyed some Slocomb tomatoes (both red and green) we had purchased from the Slocomb Tomato Festival the day before. Some positive changes were made to the festival (location, going later in the evening, and fireworks) and we had a great time-gnats and all! We enjoyed spending a lil time with Crews Wright who was the headliner and made plans to finish up a song we’ve been working on. Good things are brewing.
Yesterday was the first Family Day at Grizzly Ranch Bear Rescue. Oh my goodness- I am in LOVE. Bears have ALWAYS had a piece of my heart and seeing those cubs- what a bucket list thing for me. Sooo adorable. Yes, they are animals to be respected and I only admire from a distance. The animals are all rescues and are provided care on the ranch. They had a ton of visitors yesterday so I hope the public awareness can aid in donations for the ranch to continue their mission.
Finally, I participated in a theatre workshop sponsored by SEACT yesterday. It was good yo see some familiar faces from “the island”. Yes, the bug has bitten again so stay tuned :)
We have another busy week ahead- thank you for your support and encouragement. We need the creative arts more than ever right now- make something beautiful, or funny, or thought-provoking this week. Cheers.
