Atypical & Awesome, “Chipping Away”

According to word count, I’m at 3100 words which google tells me is approximately 12 pages or 10 percent of the 120 page guesstimate, I am aiming towards for my latest project- a full-fledged original musical. More importantly, I’m starting to see the structure and dividing lines between acts and scenes more clearly. This project will force growth in me creatively in ways I’ve never known and I am loving it.

Total and complete creative freedom is the benefit of keeping it a solo and independent venture. This allows for a “no fences” approach while writing. It will go wherever it goes and I will hard edit later. Right now it is about the flow- a somewhat structured flow, but a flow nevertheless.

To document the peaks and valleys of the process, I will chronicle this journey. Some of you may not be interested in the minute details bur I think this too, is part of the process. Thank you for being a part.
