Atypical & Awesome, “Haven’t Done that in a While”

Welcome. Thank you for stopping in. We are coming off another three day run of, “Sunset Surf Club” with full houses each night. We have two more weekends- six shows-before this one is wrap. Please come see us! It is a fun night- a great meal and a great show.

Saturday, Phillip and I perused a local produce stand and scored a really good watermelon, some fresh Georgia peaches, and really clean, ready to cook field peas. If you have ever shelled peas, you know exactly what I mean. We’ve enjoyed these finds over the weekend and I have been experimenting with making watermelon smoothies using a little portable blender we won at a charity auction some time ago. I have turned into a lean, mean, blending machine. I am adding smoothies to my mocktail repertoire- lol

Yesterday, I went to church for the first time in a long time. We have a new minister so I wanted to meet him. I have been missing church so I knew it was time. We had lots of good food yesterday, watched the World Cup (for the most part), and I CRASHED. I took a 2 hour HARD, full-on REM nap at halftime. I woke up to see the final few minutes and witnessed Spain take the cup. It was bittersweet but Spain earned it.
