Atypical & Awesome, “Crews’n Back Home”

Two years ago or so, I sat in a booth in a little Italian restaurant in Enterprise across from a proud mama and her aspiring country singer son. He was on the edge of fifteen years old and his mama was seeking some guidance regarding his career and some mentorship as far as his songwriting. That budding artist was on the verge of the ride of his life unbeknownst to any of us at the time.

That young man was Crews Wright. A few weeks later we wrote a song about our small town experiences called, “Big Deal”. It would be a part of an album project slated for that fall. Except a little detour happened called American Idol. Long but exciting story short, that album dropped last night at midnight. Please check it out- it is everywhere you could choose to stream, download, or request.

Crews is still on that rocket-ship headed to the top. In a few short weeks, he opens for Clay Walker at the Dothan Civic Center. I’ve heard “Big Deal” on several FM stations and Crews is doing a lot of tv and radio promotions. Wouldn’t it be great to see a small town country boy hit it big? He has the talent, demeanor, and honestly, the heart. Crews- it’s your time. You are a big deal ♥️
