Yesterday, my hometown received heartbreaking news about a tragic accident which claimed the life of one of our local teenagers and left three other teens/young adults seriously injured. When you are raised in a small town you know everyone and everyone’s mama- literally. These children’s moms and I grew up together. Please pray for them. That little town has been through so much with multiple losses of our young people through the years.
When exhaustion and life hits hard sometimes you just have to hit the brakes. Phillip and I opted to forego most social engagements and even an open-mic, and stayed home for most of the weekend. I went out only to get a much needed aroma-therapy massage on Saturday. Otherwise, it was pj’s, Sapphire, and the couch. I have zero regrets. I needed to reset desperately.
Phillip and I had a conversation about peace yesterday. We are very proud of our peaceful home. We may not be the high-rollers or the home with the in-ground pool (iykyk) but we are a home of peace. That is pretty special and I will choose peace any day.
