Atypical & Awesome, “Phantom, Phamily, And Phun”

Friday night, Phillip and I attended a unique event at the Dothan Opera House. The Tri-State Community Orchestra performed live while the silent film (1925), “The Phantom of the Opera” played. I had never actually watched a silent film and have new respect for the skillset the actors had to display. It is interesting to consider the role of music in film and how oftentimes, it is a character. Think, Jaws- two little notes became synonymous with the unseen antagonist. Never underestimate the power of music to communicate.

Tonight, we have our first read-through for “Coming Home” with Southern Broadway. We are super excited to get started with this opportunity. Tomorrow and Thursday, we are participating in “Legends and Lore” at Landmark Park in Dothan. We are preparing for lots of ghastly fun.

Also, we have bad lots of seasonal fun with family- carving pumpkins, watching spooky movies, and cheering on the Crimson Tide. This week is jammed packed and we are enjoying it immensely. Hope you all have a “phabulous” week!
