Atypical & Awesome, “Family Really is Everything”

Oh, how I am loving family time this week. Autumn has been over nearly every night so we’ve had lots of take-out, dinners out, and sweet times. Tuesday night, we went to The Butcher’s Daughter and had gourmet sandwiches while our friend Mason Lee hosted open-mic. Thursday night, we went out for Mexican food to celebrate Michael’s 21st birthday. Today, we will go to my parents’ where Alex will join us for an early Father’s Day celebration for my father and Phillip. Sunday, we take Autumn back to the airport in PCB, so we plan to make a day of it with more festivities. It has done my heart and soul good to have time with the ones ai love so, so much.

Life can be a doozy to be honest, and the older I get, the more value I see in keeping the home fires burning. Work is work but home is home. Family is truly everything. Phillip is amazing, we have awesome kids, and even our cats are pretty cool (most of the time). I feel very much like Dorothy Gale these days- there’s no place like home.

We have lots of special music/comedy news but we will save that for next time. Today, we are gonna chill with the fam’. Thank you for being a part of our journey- go love someone.
