Atypical & Awesome, “Fab Times Filled with Food and Funnies”

What a fabulous weekend! We had a week of work and productive rehearsals so Saturday we celebrated by trying out a new local restaurant- The Alabama Pecan Company. It was really good- I had a Spicy Peach chicken sandwich and some of the best fries I have ever had. I also had a Street Peach fizz mocktail. (They have a great mocktail menu, btw). Phillip had the chicken parm sandwich and an impressive pecan lattee. We will definitely be back.

Saturday night, we supported local comic Jordan Stanley at the Dothan Opera House. She was entertaining as were her openers. “Big Rich” Brock is on our radar now- he is hilarious. We came hone inspired to write new material and book some more shows (after our current theatre run-lol).

Sunday was, “National House Cleaning Day” (as my mother used to call it) so we did a lot of scrubbing and washing and all that jazz. We went out to eat as a family to celebrate Michael’s birthday. I got to meet Reagan’s new boyfriend and we all just had a good time together. Afterwards, we did a little shopping so it was the cherry on top for a great weekend.

This week is buckle-down week for rehearsals as opening night is next week. It is starting to come together and we are excited. Hope to see you at Sunset Beach!
