Atypical & Awesome, “Company, Tea, and a Whole Lotta SEC”

I know this is redundant but we had a fabulous weekend. We’ve been blessed to have many fabulous weekends. Someone said to me, “you’re out there living your best life” and I agree. We worked very hard to get here (on so many levels) so we are enjoying this time.

Friday night, we saw “Company” performed by SEACT. It was simply on-point. Ron Devane directed and several friends were in the cast. Billy Hutto- what a voice. I had no idea. The talent across the stage was top-shelf. This area is rich in big-city level artistic experiences- as I say often, “get out and explore, you might be surprised.” SEACT delivered- again.

Saturday, I met a friend for tea- a high noon Mad Hatter’s Tea to be specific. We enjoyed both drinking the tea and spilling the tea- it was so nice to have some girl time and catch up. I highly recommend the events at Southern Love and Catering- they do a beautiful job! The high teas are very well done- hats off (and on!) to them!

The rest of Saturday was testosterone infused as it was a “Saturday in the South” which means football. Phillip was in his happy place so it was the Alabama/FSU game ( Roll Tide) followed by the LSU/ Ole Miss game (ahem). And to quote Forrest Gump, “that’s all I have to say about that”.

Yesterday, was church and family time, Gilmore Girls, and new fall candles. It’s that time of year- a lot of melancholy but a lot of sweetness, too. Transitions- endings, beginnings… autumn- in all the ways.
